Saturday afternoon Ryan called and told me to hurry over to his house because there was a huge bull up the canyon and he did not want it to go into the trees. This was normal so I hurried to get my binoculars and rushed over to Ryan's. We rode up Hobble Creek as ryan continued to tell me all about this huge bull; we flipped around so that the "bull" was on my side. Ryan told me it was just up the draw so I pulled out my binoculars and started up the mountain as I glanced down I saw the word Mandie in the mountain....I was so shocked!!!! I Turned around and Ryan was holding the ring! He asked me to marry him and I said YES!!!
After all the shock I called all me siblings to come over to go for a coke. We rode up Hobble Creek and I stoped in front of the mountain not saying a word everyone in the car continued to look around and then my sister started screaming. The engagement was very fun, I look forward to spending the rest of my life with Ryan and I can not wait!!!!

Hunting

When me and Ryan met I actually had a land owners turckey tag that my grandpa gave me; well Ryan was a little worried about me not being ok with hunters and even though I had never been I pretended to have something in common. That was the first of many hunting conversations. Ryan has taught me to love the out doors and to hunt. I love being with him chasing elk in the fall or turkey's in the spring. I will always have that and for years to come be something that we both enjoy.

He LOVES me!!

Making it official! Ryan loves to surprise me. He always is saying "It's a surprise". Well he planned a really fun horse ride with some friends this summer. Horse riding is not something I do everyday; more like once in a lifetime. we got to the top of the mountain and took a brake. Ryan decided to carve our names on the tree. I look forward to going back there when we are old and seeing our names still in the tree. It reminds me of the fun time we had that day and all the exciting surprises Ryan has planned for me. Thanks Ryan!

Shop with a Cop

This year along with the past couple of years my family has participated in shop with a cop! Not a lot of people are given the oppertunity to help others around the holiday season, fortunately I have more than one. I just wanted to share the feeling I get when the sirens sound as the children in the cop cars file in for the breakdast that we cooked for them early saturday morning. I think that the temperature was below zero but our hearts were full and warm that morning as the little boys and girls hollered Thank you across the loud spearker. I just hope that this Christmas we can feel that peace knowing that we helped someone in need! Merry Christmas!! 2007
