Shot?!!!

Where do I start? After returning from the hospital with the baby it was not long after I found myself back again. It was Tuesday and Ryan decided he would finish up some Christmas shopping two days before Christmas to help me out. While he was shopping I went to my moms house (It was an outing but not to much to soon and that way we did not have to take the baby out with all the crazy shoppers and their RSV) So a few hours go by and I receive a call from Ryan's cell phone. I could not make out for sure who it was but one of his siblings were crying and they said that Ryan had been shot!!! Apparently he was stopped helping a lady jump her car and when returning to his vehicle the slamming of the door sent his 17 off, hitting him in the lower abdomen by his kidney. Shocked by this tragic gun malfunction I struggled to my feet so that I could hand the baby to my dad. Luckily my aunt Andy and Abbie were there so they would take me over and my mom would follow with the baby when he was hungry. When I got to the hospital Ryan was in getting Cat scans so I could not see him yet; but it was the results that relieved me. Holding Ryan's hand they told us that the fragments missed his kidney by one centimeter and were distributed throughout his muscle and fat!!!
This was a lot to handle after having a baby but we are so blessed that things worked out the way they did!! They do not do a lot for gun shot wombs so we were sent home with a lot of pain and some gauze to let things slowly heel. I know that someone was watching out for Ryan Braxton and I. Sometimes it takes something like this to help you realize the important things in life.

Seven Pounds and Eighteen Perfect Inches

Braxton has landed!!! Braxton Ryan Tuttle was born on December 17th at 1:32. My doctor started me that morning. After some painful contractions and a couple pushes later our beautiful baby boy joined us in the delivery room. I can not describe how in love Ryan and I are with our new miracle! It really is the best and most rewarding thing in the whole world! The delivery was not that bad and I had my support system behind me the whole way. I was a little emotional leaving the hospital I guess with worries that we would be able to take care of this perfect gift but after some rest it was good to be home!! I absolutly love being a mom!!! sometimes it is Exhausting but one hundred percent worth it! well he is growing fast but here are some pictures of our Braxton!

Dialated to a 2 and 80% effaced

I wanted to reflect on the whole pregnancy (while I still have a positive attitude. lol.) I went to the doctor and he said there is a good chance that he will not see me for my next appointment! This is crazy! but I have nested our little home and If I can get over the little cold I have I will be completely set! I can not wait to hold my little one. (I am hoping he is little) and bring him home! Everyting has gone by so fast! I hope that I have sucked it all in, The moving of the baby, the feet in my ribs and even the little aches and pains through out it all; it is so amazing that we can make a person and I never want to forget what its all about.
I think that my favorite thing through it all would be the Hiccups, I remember the first time he got them it was so cool! I ran home so that Ryan could feel them, he asked if it was normal, I began to worry and look it up in every book that I have only to find out that it is not like when we get hiccups and is in no way annoying to the baby, and that holding your breath and drinking water will not help.
I have a lot, a lot of people to thank!! My Mom: for an endless supply of blankets and support. I can not believe what a difference it makes just to talk to her. My Dad: for being a home away from home, loving me and feeding me while Ryan was away. My Ryan: if you can imagine I have been a little emotional. I think this is hard for Ryan but he has loved me till I did not have anymore tears and I would not be surprised if he has blisters from the endless back rubs! Thanks Babe I Love you! My Sister for being so helpful, willing to work with my schedule in going back to work. I have been so worried about this and she has been so comforting. Kelci: for keeping me so excited I can not stand it! I could go on but It might take a long time to mention my whole support team that have been so great! (In-Laws, Aunts, Cousins, Grandparents, friends and even brothers and nieces and nephews!) I love you all and I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people helping me along for nine months.
Well all in all it has been a great experience I did not get to sick and even a week away and being sick I have not been to miserable. I guess we will have to see what this week brings and I will keep all updated!

Twenty Two!!!

Last friday was my twenty second birthday!! I am headed up hill and there is no looking back. It was a great day and well lets be honest a great couple of days! Thursday was a big day, I got to have the best homemade Cafe Rio salads at my moms house for mine and kelci's birthday. After that I headed to the airport and finally got my husband back!! Friday I had to work but Ryan made me breakfast, we ordered out for lunch at the Credit Union and I got to leave early. Me and Ry took a little nap before our delicous meal at my favorite Tucanos!! We ate with Devin and Sara and then headed to the Haunted Forest for a little Halloween scare. It was a GREAT Birthday!!! My favorite is all the phone calls and texts from loved ones to wish me Happy Birthday; it really makes me feel special! My trip to tipan for Christmas decorations from my mom on Saturday was a blast! oh and this beautiful picture of christ from ryan will add to the spirit in our house!
